Wonju Hanji Theme Park CI
Two rectangles represent the shape of Wonju Hanji as well as Moonjongi (Hanji for doors). The door has ambiguous factors. This can be a path that connects the inside and outside, or it can be a standard that separates the boundary. The door of Hanji connects throughout the whole world. It symbolizes Wonju Hanji that communicate with world-wide audiences. White Hanji and black ink representing the white-clad race (Koreans) were used to express the nation’s sentiment.

Four rectangles indicate Wonju Hanji’s shape, and Mountain Chiak placed in the middle illustrates Wonju, which is the geographically right environment for the paper mulberry to grow.

Character Dooru MariVer. 1999
Duru and Mari have been named after the Korean word for scroll, Durumari. Characters putting arms around each other’s shoulders expresses Citizens of Wonju’s desire to maintain Wonju hanji culture and represent Hanji’s root that grew naturally from civic engagement.
Character Duru + Mari Ver. 2013
is the topic. The groom, ‘Mari’ and the bride, ‘Duru,’ has been recreated as lovely characters that travel with hanji.
